Description
BASIC BUNKEROID SET
A physical system for secrets that should never become a file.
BUNKEROID is not “cold storage”. It’s a tool for epistemic security: a way to structure, separate, and control sensitive information so that no single element is meaningful on its own, and access always stays intentional, physical, and governed by the user — not by software, accounts, or platforms.
The BASIC SET gives you the full foundation: the body, panels, seed pins, fixators, cover, screws, tool, and boxes. You can build simple self-custody setups, multi-person control, or hierarchical access models — where the meaning of information is defined by configuration, order, and physical access.
What you’re protecting (in plain terms)
BUNKEROID is designed for situations where a single readable backup is the real risk:
• seed phrases and recovery words
• passphrases, additional secrets, key fragments
• structured access rules for family / business custody
• systems where coins can carry decisions (governance via value transfer)
How it works (the BUNKEROID logic)
• Seed Pins carry small engraved fragments (word/number/symbol).
A single pin is not the secret. Meaning appears only with the correct set + order.
• Seed Fixator keeps pins in place while allowing controlled reading.
• Full Cover blocks visibility completely — no reading without removal.
• Screws + dedicated tool create a deliberate access barrier: opening is a conscious act.
• Storage Box + Pin Box support careful offline preparation and safe handling.
• NDS (NoDataStorage System ID) is engraved into the body for authenticity/warranty verification without storing personal data and without building a customer database.
Practical ways people use it
Personal self-custody: reduce “single point of failure” backup risk.
Family custody: distribute roles and access without exposing the full secret to one person.
Company / multi-role setups: model hierarchy and controlled access in a physical system.
Governance-by-transfer models: where satoshis carry decisions, mandates, or permissions — auditable without centralized identity databases.
What’s included in the BASIC SET
• BUNKEROID Body
• panels/plates (cover components)
• Seed Fixators
• screws + dedicated Torx tool
• Storage Box + Pin Box
• 60 Seed Pins
Important note
BUNKEROID does not replace good operational security — it forces it. Your security depends on your configuration choices, your access discipline, and how you distribute information across people and places.
To help you plan and structure the full 60‑pin configuration, you can use the optional Pin Descriptors available here: https://bunkeroid.com/pin-descriptors/
